16 Things You May Not Know About Me!

Hey Susnhines!

I thought this would be fun today. I literally either smiled or laughed when writing these. You should try it too! :-)

  1. The first literary work that I have documented was when I was 9 years old. It was poem about rain and how I wanted it to go away so I could go outside to play.

  2. I have always been a dog lover. Ever since I can remember I’ve always brought home stray dogs, dogs from the pound or purchased from a breeder. Right now I have a Boston Terrier who lives with me and two Chow/Bull Mastiff Mixed Breeds who live with my parents.

  3. My favorite childhood movie used to be The Wizard of Oz until I saw The Color Purple at age 9. It had such an impact. I’ve seen it over 50 times, know all the words and can even act it out!

  4. Although I was an English honor student, my childhood dream was to be an actress.

  5. My favorite foods are seafood, Asian inspired and southern soul food…in that order J

  6. I’m from the south and I don’t like sweet potato pie…Yuck!

  7. I don’t like clowns, but I’m ok with mimes. They are not as scary looking and no mime has ever killed anyone in a movie as far as I know.

  8. In college I wrote a television commercial and shared with a business who was looking for a marketing intern. They didn’t hire me, but the following week I saw my commercial on television. It was a hard lesson but from then on I learned to copyright.

  9. I like eating ice cream and french fries together. The sweet and salty combination is heavenly!

  10. When I was little I got stuck in a ferris wheel at the county fair while it was still in the air. From that point on, I don’t like closed in spaces that travel up high…Elevators and planes are not my favorite.

  11. I always read credits at the end of movies. I’m interested in the behind the scenes action.

  12. I went to college to study medicine, but graduated with a BA in Marketing and a minor in Mass Communications.

  13. Music has always been a part of my life. Growing up, my parents had an enormous juke box that lit up with flashing lights and we had vinyl albums galore.

  14. I was excited about going to the 3rd grade. After getting a new pair of pink Reebok sneakers for school I really wanted another pair so my Dad said, “Once you tear those up, I’ll buy you another pair.” So I commenced to go outside and rub them against the asphalt to scuff them up and put holes in them. This would “tear them up” for sure. I was a clever thinker even back then! J

  15. I call Oprah Winfrey, my “Aunt Oprah”. She has truly been my mentor from a distance. It is my dream to one day meet Aunt O. If anyone knows her, please help me out!

  16. When I was high school, I was fluent in Spanish and won Spanish oratorical competitions for two years straight. I also spoke the language so well that I was exempt from taking a foreign language in undergrad. Right now, I only kn0w a FEW words…Lol…It’s NOT like riding a bike. Anyone willing to give me lessons?
