Creativity is a Principle of life and it is our ability to cause a thing to exist. It evolves from our own thoughts and imagination. You can be looking at the same thing with 20 other people and not one of them imagines the same exact thing you are.
When was the last time you were creative? Can you think of the last time you had a surge of ideas that supported you in resolving conflict, communicating with others, or even supporting the evolution of yourself? If it’s been longer than you’d like, no worries, you are not alone! Many of us have these creative stalls in life.
There are the typical obstacles of being too busy or not being in a space that promotes creativity. However most times obstacles are located on our internal landscape. Three primary obstacles are:
Fear of self-expression and the judgment and criticism from others. These judgments and criticisms triggers a memory within you that causes a negative emotion.
Lack of confidence in your ability to create, placing limitations on yourself.
Stress which drains energy and is bad for your health. This is the same energy that could be used creatively.
Do any of these obstacles cause a bell to go off in your consciousness? I can certainly relate! I used to be so afraid of what I could create that I limited my capacity by busying myself with other meaningless things. Watching television and telling myself I’d do “it” whatever it is, tomorrow. I found myself not releasing books in fear of judgments from others. I’ve had the “next big idea”, but because I lacked confidence in getting started, I saw someone else produce the same “big idea!”
WHAT I KNOW NOW
We are all unique, creative expressions of One Universal Source. You may call this Source, God, the Universe, Allah, or another name that you honor. This sacred Source vibrates and ideates ideas upon ALL of us. It is our responsibility to receive these messages and use our unique expressions to create.
This week, take the opportunity to create just one thing that is outside of your comfort zone. Stretch yourself.
Use your Creativity to generate ideas and possibilities for your life. Be willing to view things in NEW ways and perspectives. You are a Creator with unique gifts, talents and vision.
Beauty and Greatness abides within you. Remember that you have the POWER to CREATE each day INTENTIONALLY GOOD and to Be Beautifully Inspired!
