Hey There
Many didn't know that I've added Early Childhood Educator to my list of life assignments. Yes, I say assignments because teaching, in a school setting, was never one of my desires. It wasn't until 2018 when we kept our granddaughter, Sophia, during the Summer. I was teaching her spiritual principles of awareness, breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness as ways to regulate and process her emotions when she ventured into Pre-K in the Fall. This was a big step for Sophia and I wanted her to be well equipped, and rooted well in Self-Love. Not just academically, but overall, as s human, to make healthy, self-honoring choices. My husband shared with me the bright idea..."Wouldn't it be great if you could teach young people at that age what you're teaching Sophia?"
It wasn't a bad idea. While working with my adult clients, healing childhood trauma and learning the tools to process emotions were repeated pattersn in our sessions. What didn't make sense was how "teaching students" aligned with my desires, passions, and calling as a Spiritual Life Coach.
